The information given below will help you to solve some frequent technical problems. If you have still technical problems after the reading of the solution given below please contact us.
The problem: With the attempt of registering for the trading platform there will appear the error massage “No JDK 1.4 support for APPLET!”
The Solution: GCI trading system requires JAVA Runtime Environment (“JRE”) to be functioning. If you don’t have JRE in your computer, it should automatically be downloaded, when you try to get to the registration page, so that there appears this window:

Click on “install” and follow the suggestions showed on the screen to download the software. If this will not download automatically you can download it and install manually here. There is the possibility to login your GCI account using the software in your PC, which doesn’t require JRE. This will solve any problems based on the finder or Java. You can download this software here. The system will after a while ask you for “the registration key”, write gotrus.
The problem: It is not possible to login with ICTS Windows-based software. Need “the Registration Key”.
The solution: This registration key is gotrus, how you can see below:

The problem: There will appear the error message “Insufficient privileges for this operation” with the attempt of login.
The solution: Either your 30 days Demo account expired or you are trying to login wrong account type. Be sure that you are registering the right CFD, Forex, or Mini Forex account (or its demo version). If your Demo account expires, please register the new one.
The problem: There will appear the error message “Wrong login name or password” with the attempt of login.
The solution: Firstly be sure that you are logging into the right account type such as “Share CFD Trading”, “Mini Share trading”, “Forex trading” or “Mini forex trading” of the demo registration on the basis of what account type did you require. All the demo registrations are available here. Secondly be sure that you write the login name and password exactly how it is written in the e-mail which you received and be aware of the letters, which are upper case and which lower case.
The problem: Particular items from the Menu (Charts, News, User Manual) are not displayed even though they have been chosen in the platform.
The solution: Hold the Control key when clicking on these items. This will allow these pages to be displayed correctly despite of most of set “pop-up” windows.
The problem: Charts don’t display correctly.
The solution: Be sure of the correct downloading of the program Java 1,4. This will download automatically when you are trying to access the charts, but if not you can download it here. Than be sure of correct entering “Always” if you were asked if to believe the ActForex items.
The problem: There appears the error message “Java.Lang.ClassNotFoundException:Hello.HelloApplet” with the attempt of logging.
The solution: Maybe you had temporary failure of the internet connection to our servers and the page showing the error message is now hidden. There are two solutions: 1) delete your Temporary Internet Files (Tools, Internet Options, Delete files, Delete all offline content), close all the windows and then open your window and try it again. Except this very often is problem solved by restarting the PC; or 2) register with using new software based on the Windows, which you can download here. This software doesn’t use Java and doesn’t record such errors.
The problem: It is not possible to download the Java plug-in; the error message says “file is corrupt”
The solution: This can be evoked by the great numbers of users who are entering this folder at the same time. You can download the same plug-in here. Save the program into your PC by classic way. The system will ask you to provide the registration key“please input the registration key”. Write gotrus.
The problem: The window of the finder will close when logging or with the access to the software download.
The solution: Click on the button “Start” and choose “Windows Update” (this will transfer you to http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com) and then „Product updates“. Download any of the „Critical updates“from the Microsoft web-site. Be sure of using the Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher, what you can download at www.microsoft.com/windows/IE/.
The problem: The system needs to work through associated Firewall.
The solution: Most of the corporations use firewalls, so if you use our system from associated placement and it is not functioning (it means you can not get to the needed pages), your network administrator will have to open following ports:
• For access to Standard, Mini, Demo or live trading: port 8100 must be open.
• For access to Live back office reports: ports 9101 must be open.
• For access to Demo back office reports: ports 8802 and 9000 must be open.
• For access to GCI Live charts: port 8805 must be open.
• For access to Demo registration: port 9001 must be open.
The problem: When the software is installed and you achieved the login, frequently happens, that the errors in the connection appear or the trading window “gets frozen”.
The solution: Click on the “Start” button and choose “Setting” then “Control panels”. Click two times on “Add/Delete programs”. Delete any of the Java 1.2 or 1.3, which will appear in the alphabetical sequence. Install the right plug-in here.
Additional tips:
1. By downloading the critical Windows updates is possible to solve a lot of problems, both with the GCI system and the Windows as a whole. Click on the “Start” button and choose “Windows updates” which will transfer you to
2. http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com and then „Product updates“. Download any of the „Critical updates“from the Microsoft web-sites.
3. If you use or used different trading or banking software than the one based on the Java, you can have old Java plug-in, which is in the conflict with the GCI software. Click on the “Start” button and choose “Setting” then “Control panels”. Click two times on “Add/Delete programs”. Delete any of the Java 1.2 or 1.3, which will appear in the alphabetical sequence. Install the right updated Java plug-in from www.gcitrading.com/jre.exe.
4. AOL users: AOL users can effectively use the GCI trading platform by the following way: After the Java runtime environment downloading we recommend you to 1) open internet connection with AOL, but then 2) register for GCI platform using your P program (“Trader JVA”), which you can download at www.gcitrading.com/livedownload.htm and which is available from the desktop.
5. MAC OS users: MAC users must buy and install Windows emulation software, so that they can use GCI trading system. Please look at http://www.apple.com/macosx/applications/virtualpc/ the purchase price is approximately $240. Then open the Live account at GCI and after the trading of 20 Round-Turn lots (or 200 minilots) we will add the purchase price of the software to your trading account. You will always have the Windows emulation software on your MAC, which you can use to launch other applications based on the Windows.
